A Personal Area Network (PAN) is used for communication among devices close to a person's body, typically within a range of a few meters or feet. Examples include connections between a phone and a Bluetooth headset or a wireless mouse and a computer. LANs cover a building, WANs cover cities/countries, EAN is not a standard term.
