While addressing potential project issues is important, focusing solely on deviations does not promote knowledge transfer among team members. This approach may lead to discussions centered on problems rather than sharing valuable knowledge and insights that can enhance team collaboration and performance.

Although conducting a lessons learned session is beneficial for reflecting on completed projects, waiting until the closure phase delays the knowledge transfer process. Immediate sharing of knowledge is essential during the project to prevent misunderstandings and promote continuous improvement.

While the PMO can help with visibility and facilitate communication, the primary responsibility for knowledge transfer lies with the SMEs. Relying on the PMO may not ensure that the specific knowledge captured by the SMEs is effectively shared among team members in a timely manner.
