The project sponsor recently requested that a vendor begins working toward adopting a hybrid approach. In response, the vendor hired a project manager experienced in agile for the project. What does that project manager need to do to make the team work in a collaborative way?

While updating the issue log is important for tracking project challenges and resolutions, it does not directly contribute to team collaboration. This task is more focused on documentation and problem-solving rather than engaging team members in a cooperative manner. Collaboration requires active communication and teamwork, which is not achieved through log updates alone.

Requesting a team of mentors from the PMO may provide additional resources, but it does not guarantee immediate improvement in collaboration. The project manager should take the initiative to mentor the team directly, as building relationships and fostering collaboration is often more effective when led by someone within the project team.

Identifying training gaps is a valuable step in understanding the team's needs and areas for improvement. However, this action alone does not facilitate collaboration. The project manager must take further steps to address these gaps through mentoring or targeted training sessions that actively involve team members in the learning process.
