The local taxes that currently fund our town parks and athletic fields have been climbing sharply in recent years. What’s more, it is estimated that only about a third of the town’s current residents have children that regularly make use of the fields. Critics of building the new Brown County Park are correct when they say that those who make use of town facilities should pay more for their upkeep.
